This HO (1:87) railway track segment recreates a foreground section of standard-gauge line: two steel rails, a series of weathered wooden sleepers (ties), and a crushed-stone ballast bed modeled to nest around the ties. The model is provided as a single HO master STL organized into separate groups for rails, sleepers and ballast so you can print and finish each element independently. The ballast is intentionally simplified to coarse granularity for reliable printing; sleeper faces are tuned for paint and weathering. Fastener positions at rail seats are included where visually implied, represented schematically rather than as an exact prototype bolt schedule. Use this piece to add authentic trackwork to HO model-railway layouts, station approaches, sidings, or diorama scenes. A short conversion blurb is included to help you scale the 1:87 master to other common modelling scales; note that only the 1:87 master STL is supplied. Recommended finishing: prime sleepers, add dark washes and dry-brush highlights, glue a thin layer of real ballast into the STL cavities for maximum realism, and polish rail heads to simulate wear.
