Miniature Reality is a small hobby shop in digital form.
The whole point is simple: keep this hobby affordable, useful, and fun. Too much of the market has drifted toward bloated pricing, flashy marketing, and the idea that every model has to be some premium collector piece. That is not what we are building here.
We make printable models for people who actually use them — model railroaders, wargamers, diorama builders, dollhouse hobbyists, and anyone who wants good scene-building pieces without getting nickel-and-dimed to death.
Most of our models are designed to be good where it matters: clean shapes, useful detail, solid printability, and strong visual impact once painted and placed in a real scene. They are meant to work as part of a layout, battlefield, street scene, or display — not as overpriced digital shelf ornaments.
Miniature Reality also runs on a simple old-school hobby shop idea: the community helps shape what gets made next. New model ideas come from customer suggestions, feedback, and voting, not from some boardroom guessing what people should want.
This project is personal. It grew out of the kind of local hobby-shop experience that used to be common — the sort of place where a kid with a few dollars could still walk out with something interesting and spend the next week building, painting, or imagining where it fit into a bigger world. That spirit matters here. So does keeping prices grounded.
We use modern tools where they help, but the priorities stay human: fair pricing, practical models, straight answers, and respect for the people buying them.
This is not a giant corporate storefront. It is a working shopbench.
And it is being built for hobbyists first.
You receive a digital download. In most cases that means STL files or other listed digital model files for home 3D printing. Nothing physical is shipped unless a listing clearly says otherwise.
They are digital files. You print them yourself.
Not for standard digital products. These are download-only items.
That depends on the listing. Many items are offered in multiple scales because different hobbies use different standards. Always check the product description and options before buying.
No file on earth is perfect on every printer, resin, slicer, support setup, or skill level. We work to make files solid and printable, but print results still depend on your machine, settings, materials, scaling, and experience.
For digital products, refunds are limited. If a file is genuinely defective and cannot be printed even after reasonable correction attempts on our end, we will work with you to fix it. If the file prints correctly, there is no refund just because a user is unfamiliar with their printer, slicer, settings, or supports.
Contact us. If there is an actual issue with the file, we will review it and make a reasonable effort to correct it. If the problem is on our side, we will address it.
Follow the license terms shown on the product page. Unless a listing says otherwise, buying a file does not automatically grant commercial resale rights.
No. Purchases are for the buyer only unless the license explicitly says otherwise.
No. That is not the goal. Our models are built to look good, print well, and work in real hobby use. Some are highly detailed, some are intentionally simpler, but the focus is practical value, not perfection theater.
Yes. Suggestions are part of the whole point of this shop. We pay attention to what hobbyists actually want, and community demand helps decide what gets built next.
Usually no. This shop is built around hobbyists and small-scale customers, not corporate partnership pipelines.
That is fine, but you should understand that digital files still require some basic printing knowledge. Your printer, resin or filament, slicer settings, supports, exposure, and cleanup all affect results. We sell files, not a guarantee that every beginner setup will work flawlessly without learning.
Because most hobby files should not cost a small fortune.
That is the real answer.
A lot of digital hobby marketplaces have drifted into inflated pricing. Small accessories cost too much. Simple terrain details get treated like luxury goods. Everyday builders end up paying premium prices for things that should be easy to grab, print, and use.
We reject that.
Our $2.99 pricing philosophy exists to keep the barrier to entry low and the hobby moving. It lets people try new ideas, fill out scenes, experiment, make mistakes, and build larger worlds without every purchase turning into a debate.
That does not mean the work is worthless. It means we believe more people building, printing, and enjoying the hobby is better than squeezing every last dollar out of each file.
The model is simple:
We are not trying to position every product as a rare luxury collectible. We are trying to run the kind of store hobbyists wish existed more often.
So why $2.99?
Because affordable is the point. Because this hobby needs more usable parts and fewer pricing gimmicks. Because we would rather be the place people actually use than the place they admire and never buy from.
Questions, file issues, suggestions, and practical feedback are all welcome.
Miniature Reality is built around real hobby use, so useful messages matter more than polished ones. If you found a file problem, need help understanding what a listing includes, or want to suggest a future model, send a message.
Please include the basic facts:
That saves time and makes it easier to tell the difference between a file problem and a print-setup problem.
We do our best to respond clearly and directly. This is a small operation, not a call center, so replies may not be instant — but they will be human.
