HO Scale Engine House Garage for Dioramas & Model Railroads This compact engine house replicates the characteristic form of a small interwar-era service shed: a rectangular gabled enclosure with a large central hinged double-door bay, two internal parallel rails continuing through the doorway, a circular gable vent, a roof cupola and a small chimney. The exterior shows shallow modeled plank siding and a linear shingle pattern suitable for painting and weathering. What you get - 1 x master STL scaled to HO 1:87 (engine_house_ho_1-87_master.stl) - 6 x PNG preview images (orthographic views) Scale and size The prototype used for modeling is approximately 5.0 m × 4.0 m × 3.2 m; at 1:87 the printed model measures about 57.5 × 46.0 × 36.8 mm. This master is provided at 1:87 only — if you need this model at a different fixed scale please contact us for a custom conversion service. Printing notes - Single watertight STL. For FDM, use 1.0–1.5 mm wall thickness and add supports for the cupola, chimney and roof eaves. Resin prints will capture the plank detail most cleanly. Consider splitting the roof in your CAD/slicer for interior lighting or access. Usage Perfect for HO model railroad layouts, small industrial dioramas and display models. The preserved rails make it an excellent choice as a maintenance shed or small service building on branchline scenes.
