A painted male adult infantry figure representing a Caucasian Union soldier from the American Civil War (circa 1860s). Apparent age of the subject (as sculpted) is mid-20s to mid-30s. Ethnicity as depicted: Northern European / Caucasian (pale skin tone, pronounced nose bridge). Weight/body type: average/medium build with athletic musculature consistent with a soldier — neither emaciated nor heavyset. Facial features: pronounced brow ridge with deep furrows, open shouting mouth showing teeth, squared jawline, prominent nose, slightly sunken cheeks with painted flush, defined cheekbones and chin, visible painted lines around eyes and mouth to indicate strain/anger. Hair is short and largely covered by a kepi cap; ears partially visible. Clothing and props: kepi cap, dark blue tunic, light blue trousers, leather cartridge box/straps, leather boots, and a long rifle with fixed bayonet.
