A carved stone sarcophagus topped by the recumbent effigy of an armored knight, hands folded in eternal rest. The tomb chest is bordered with Celtic knotwork, a heraldic lion shield at one corner, and a front panel bearing a skull flanked by crossed swords.

Two hooded, robed mourners lean against the sides reading from books, adding a somber funerary tableau. The masonry base, interlace carving, and worn stonework read beautifully under washes and drybrushing.
