A finely modeled antique crawler steam-shovel (dipper excavator) supplied as a single 1:87 (HO) master STL ready for printing. The model closely follows a side-elevation reference and preserves the defining mechanical features: rear boiler/engine housing, rotating house/turntable, inclined X-pair booms with rack-gear teeth, primary bucket with hinged lug and single hoist attachment, prominent mid-boom sprocket/winch, and a segmented crawler undercarriage with idler and drive geometry. Included with the STL are orthographic reference PNGs (front, right-side, back, left-side, top, bottom) to help with orientation and scene planning. This piece is intended for dioramas, HO model railroad layouts, and display collections showing early 20th-century industrial activity. Printing guidance: the model’s rack-gear teeth, rivet rows and bucket lip are modeled at scale-accurate widths. For highest fidelity print with a resin printer or a high-resolution FDM setup (0.12–0.2 mm layer height and a 0.25–0.4 mm nozzle). Orient the model with the tracks on the build plate and use supports beneath the mid-boom sprocket and bucket lug. If your printer struggles with fine teeth, a slight uniform enlargement (102–105%) will improve visual results. Consider splitting the model into house and undercarriage sections in your slicer for easier painting and finishing. Post-processing: light sanding on plate faces, a dark wash into rivets and rack teeth, and selective drybrushing on sprockets yield convincing wear.
