A compact Polaroid-style instant film camera housing modeled specifically for hobbyists, diorama builders, and collectors. The 3D asset captures the front-facing character of vintage instant cameras: a flat rectangular front face with a recessed square surround housing a centered circular lens opening, a long rectangular film ejection slot across the lower front, a red rectangular shutter button at the left of the lens, a rectangular flash/reflector window at the upper right, and an integrated top handle. The model was carefully reconstructed from a photographic reference; an occlusion in the reference image was rebuilt using bilateral symmetry where proportions were clear. The rear film compartment and internal mechanisms are intentionally simplified — this is a cosmetic housing, not a working camera. Included: One master STL scaled to HO 1:87. Geometry is split into groups (exterior shell, lens and baffle, shutter button, film slot bezel) for easier painting and multi-material printing. Print guidance: orient for the cleanest front detail, add light supports under the handle and film slot, and consider printing the lens/flash window in clear resin or inserting clear acrylic for the brightest effect. Use a fine layer height (0.12 mm for FDM or 50–75 microns for resin) if you want crisp lens and button detail. The shutter button and lens are separate to allow color swaps or painting before final assembly. Use this housing as a period-accurate prop in HO dioramas, a display model on a shelf, or as a kitbashing component in retro scenes.
