This ornate Art Deco wall-mounted letter box is modeled for HO-scale dioramas and model-railroad layouts. The design preserves the mailbox’s front access door with its rectangular inspection window, twin hinge barrels at the door edge, a small keyhole beneath the window, stepped decorative flanges and conical bottom feet. Shallow embossed ornament (historical band and eagle motif) is preserved as stepped relief; readable text has been intentionally replaced with generic raised bands. The original source photo had the upper-right quadrant occluded; that area is marked in the CAD as OCCLUDED - FIELD INSPECTION REQUIRED and left as neutral placeholder geometry rather than speculative detail. The download includes one watertight STL scaled to 1:87 (HO). Conversion guidance is included for resizing to other scales, but no additional scale STLs are provided. Print tips: for filament printers, orient the back face flat to the bed, add minimal supports under the hinge barrels and lower flange, and use 0.12–0.15 mm layers for best relief definition. For resin printers, use light back supports to keep the front ornamental face clean. Perfect as a period-correct street fixture for 1920s–1930s storefronts, tenements, and diorama displays.
