A juvenile markhor, a wild mountain goat, is caught in mid-leap with legs extended front and back. Its short-haired coat is warm russet-brown with a pale belly and white-marked face and lower legs, and a pair of small emerging horns rise from the crown.

The lean, springy body and alert face are finely sculpted, capturing the agility of this young highland animal.
