A small rustic crossing built from stacked fieldstone abutments spanned by hewn timber logs. A stone arch forms the culvert opening beneath, letting a stream pass through, while the planked log deck on top carries foot or cart traffic across the gap.
Thick rope lashings wrap the posts and rails, and moss and lichen cling to the weathered stonework, giving the whole piece the look of a well-worn country or medieval byway. Simple upright posts mark the low railing along each side.
This crossing is ideal for a fantasy tabletop skirmish, a rural or medieval village diorama, or a model railroad backwoods scene. Set it over a modeled stream or ravine to link two parts of a layout with a charming, hand-built bridge.
