A prefabricated Quonset hut with the unmistakable semicircular corrugated-steel roof used across Pacific island bases during the Second World War. The arched shell is painted olive drab, while the flat front facade carries a pair of paneled double doors, a small name-board over the entrance, and multi-pane windows to either side.

Weathered ribbing runs the length of the barrel roof and a poured slab foundation grounds the structure. It reads convincingly as a barracks, mess, workshop, or field office.

An ideal centerpiece for a 1940s Pacific-theater airfield or supply-depot layout, and equally at home as postwar surplus housing on a mid-century rural or industrial scene.
