Overview "River Trip" is a compact river vignette prepared as a single-piece scenic block for HO (1:87). The model captures a short stretch of river with a recessed channel, distinct shoreline edges, and broad bank terraces sized to accept clump foliage, coarse ballast and small stones. The piece emphasizes clean silhouette and readable composition rather than micro-engraved ripples, making it especially forgiving and photogenic at small scale. What you receive - One master STL file locked to HO (1:87). Miniature Reality supplies a single 1:87 master STL only; you may uniformly rescale the mesh in your modelling or slicer software to fit other scales. No additional scale-specific STLs are included. Features - Continuous recessed channel suited to gloss or resin water finishes. - Smooth shoreline transitions to help water mediums seat predictably. - Flattened terraces sized for 2–6 mm scenic materials for easier vegetation and ballast placement. - Single-piece design simplifies printing, painting and scenic work. Printing guidance - Recommended: SLA/DLP for best shoreline and terrace definition. Use 25–50 µm layer height for fine detail. - FDM is usable for larger prints; orient the block flat to reduce supports on visible faces and plan for more scenic concealment of layer lines. - Supports: minimal underside supports for SLA; protect shore faces when supporting. Finishing tips - Seal and paint the channel prior to pouring epoxy or resin. For a simpler finish, gloss varnish over a painted channel reads well at HO scale. - Glue the block into a recessed layout cutout or mount on thin MDF/plasticard for easier handling. Limitations and provenance This asset originates from a legacy MeshRef export and was preserved as one solid scenic block. Prototype dimensions are not certified.
