The piece features a wide rounded cap covered with raised wart-like spots, a ruffled skirt beneath the cap, a simplified suggestion of gills and a straight cylindrical stem rising from a low mound of leaves and small flowers that form a natural base. The raised spots and simplified gill forms were designed to read well at and to accept quick finishing techniques.
