Gorgon-Scale Basilisk Drake Miniature — Low Slither (HO 1:87) A richly detailed basilisk-like drake in a low slither posture, sculpted atop a broken mosaic slab base. The model features broad armored flat scales with pitted surface texture, segmented ridge frills along the spine, pronounced bony ocular ridges on the skull, and a trailing tail with shallow lateral finlets. Shallow bas-relief fossil plant impressions and tessellated mosaic tiles on the base give immediate narrative context for dioramas or display. The download includes a single watertight STL master at 1:87 (HO). The sculpt was optimized for print success: fragile needle-like spikes and ultra-thin membranes were removed or thickened, undercuts minimized, and the base reinforced for flat-bed adhesion. SLA/DLP resin printing is recommended for maximum fidelity; FDM printing is supported with a 0.2 mm nozzle and slower print speeds. Because the sculpt sits low to its base, support requirements are minimal—expect small supports under the jaw and gentle anchors beneath overhangs. Use this miniature for tabletop gaming encounters, painting practice, diorama centerpieces, or display. To print at a different scale, uniformly scale the STL inside your slicer (the master is provided at 1:87 HO).
