Adolescent King Penguin

A young king penguin stands upright with the species' unmistakable coloring: a slate-blue back and flippers, a crisp white belly, and warm orange patches sweeping from the cheeks down over the upper breast. Its stout body, short tail, and pale webbed feet capture the bird just short of full adult size.
