1880s Firefighter Climbing a Ladder

A nineteenth-century fireman caught mid-climb, one arm punched up to the next rung and one knee lifted high. He wears a dark blue double-breasted wool tunic with two rows of brass buttons, a broad leather belt with a heavy buckle, blue trousers and tall black leather boots.

On his head is the classic long-backed leather helmet with a front shield carrying the company number 2. In his lowered hand he carries a short brass nozzle or hand tool, held clear of the body.

Made for a Victorian fire scene: leaned against a burning tenement, a steam pumper, an aerial rig or a station front. He suits any 1870s-to-1900s town layout that needs urgency on the street.
