Layered Rock Outcrop Formation

A bare rock outcrop built from stacked, near-horizontal sedimentary beds that step up to a low double crest. The faces are broken into blocky slabs with sharp fracture lines, deep vertical joints and shadowed overhangs, all in a cool unweathered grey.

The base is flat and open-sided so the piece can be sunk into a ground surface, butted against a cutting wall or used freestanding as a boulder pile.

Useful as line-of-sight blocking terrain on a wargame table, as a cliff face beside a rail cutting or highway, or as a canyon and desert feature in a landscape diorama.
