Stacked Pile of Scrap Bicycles

A dense heap of bicycles tangled into a single mound - frames crossed at every angle, spoked wheels showing through the gaps, handlebars, saddles, chainguards, pedals and rear racks all locked together in the pile.

The bikes are a mix of step-through, cruiser and small-wheel types, painted in worn blue, red and yellow with bare grey rims and tyres, so a quick wash is all it takes to make the stack read as long-abandoned metal.

A ready-made scenic mass for cluttered urban scenes: a scrapyard or recycling yard, the corner of a junk-strewn back lot, a bike-share graveyard, or an improvised barricade on a post-collapse gaming board. It also fills a flatbed or skip in one piece.
