Goggled Vintage Aviator

An early flier in a fleece-collared brown leather flying coat, pushing a pair of flight goggles up onto his leather helmet with a wide grin. Under the coat he wears a grey military-cut tunic with a belted waist, breeches and tall brown riding boots, and holds a rolled document or baton in one gloved hand.

A boxy aerial survey instrument sits on the base beside his boot, hinting at a reconnaissance flight. The coat folds, buckles, fleece collar and boot creases are all deeply cut and take a leather wash particularly well.

Suited to a 1920s or 1930s airfield diorama, a barnstorming or air-race scene, and interwar aviation layouts that need crew beside the aircraft.
