A classic roofed stone well built from rough grey fieldstone, with a circular waist-high wall, a pitched stone-tiled roof carried on timber posts, and a rope-and-crank windlass across the top. A wooden bucket bound with iron hoops hangs from the rope over the shaft, ready to be lowered.

The weathered masonry, timber crank handle, and hanging bucket make it a complete miniature scene in itself.
