A classic municipal water tower: a riveted blue steel tank with a domed top and vent finial, carried on four battered red-oxide lattice legs with X-bracing and a horizontal girt ring, all sitting on a squared stone-block foundation pad.

Working detail is sculpted in - a railed catwalk around the tank base, a caged ladder climbing one leg to the roof hatch, and a large riser pipe running down the centre of the frame to the valve gear at ground level. Paint is heavily weathered, with rust bleeding through the ironwork and streaks down the tank plates.

Drop it into a small-town or industrial layout beside an engine house, a mill or a rail yard, or use it as a landmark on a mid-century American diorama. The tower also reads well as a raised objective or sniper perch on a modern skirmish board.
