A prefabricated military Nissen hut with the classic half-cylinder corrugated-iron roof arching from ground to ground. One gable end is filled with a brick wall containing a plank door and two multi-pane windows, and a stovepipe chimney rises from the rear with guy-wire bracing.
These utilitarian huts served as barracks, mess halls, stores, and workshops across British and Allied bases during the Second World War, fitting a 1940s airfield, army camp, or home-front military site.
A versatile structure for a wartime diorama, a wargaming table, or a period model railroad depot or army-base layout.
