Stylized Pile of Fasteners

A compact pile of stylized fasteners — assorted bolts, hex nuts, washers and wingnuts — designed to add believable hardware detail to dioramas, workbenches and model-railway layouts. The piece is supplied as a single master that you can uniformly scale in your software to fit other sizes. Heads and washer faces are proportioned slightly larger and edges are softened so the shapes remain readable when painted and weathered. Ideal placement includes beside a vise, near a tool crate, or inside a maintenance shed to suggest ongoing repair work. For multiple scenes, print several copies and alter their finish to imply different ages or levels of use. Note: the asset is a stylized prop rather than an exact engineering replica.
