Baroque Throne Chair

This Baroque tufted high-back throne chair is sculpted to function as a bold period centerpiece in small interiors and photography vignettes. Its tall scalloped crest rail and deep button-tufted back and seat were modeled so the silhouette and recessed dimples read clearly at HO (1:87) scale — ideal for dioramas, HO railway interiors, museum miniatures, and tabletop displays. The arms are rolled and flow into reinforced carved supports; carved ornament is expressed as thicker relief so details survive support removal and handling. To print at a different scale scale the mesh in your slicer with the conversion factor = 87 ÷ target_denominator (example: to print at 1:48 multiply the model by ~1.8125). Always confirm final dimensions after scaling. Printing notes: for best tuft clarity print resin at 0.05–0.12 mm layers or FDM at 0.10–0.16 mm with a fine nozzle. Orient the model with a slight back tilt and place supports under the seat underside and arm junctions. The model includes reinforced junctions and slightly increased wall thickness in decorative areas; if you plan to downscale significantly below HO consider small modeling edits to preserve tuft depth. Finishing tips: a dark wash pushed into the tufting followed by selective dry-brushing on frame relief gives a convincing Baroque patina.
