Neoclassical Townhouse

This compact neoclassical European townhouse is sculpted to read clearly on HO (1:87) model-railway layouts and small urban dioramas. The façade emphasizes vertical rhythm: tall rectangular window openings with modest surrounds and shallow reveals, subtle pilaster suggestions between bays, a pronounced projecting cornice at roof level, and a recessed ground-floor entrance with a short set of steps. Roof geometry is simplified to facilitate printing and kitbashing while preserving the façade moulding vocabulary. The mesh preserves window reveals, cornice detail and entrance mouldings at HO scale while keeping filigree minimal so details remain readable in resin and high-resolution FDM prints. Print notes: for resin printing we recommend 0.05–0.1 mm layers. For FDM, try 0.1 mm layers, 2–3 perimeters and a small positive horizontal expansion to retain crisp edges after sanding and primer. Supports will be needed beneath pronounced cornice overhangs and under the recessed entrance; orient the façade vertically to reduce support inside window openings. Some thin sill and cornice edges can be strengthened with small fillets or thicker shell settings for FDM. Use-cases: ideal for HO urban streets, dense terrace runs, small diorama vignettes or display models. The narrow form is perfect for filling short gaps in streetscapes; duplicate to form terraces or cut for corner conversions. Painters will find the restrained mouldings easy to weather and highlight with washes and drybrush. Included files: 1x 1:87 master STL, 1x conversion instruction text file.
