A modern logging machine operator standing with a detachable control yoke held across his waist, both gloved hands wrapped around twin joysticks studded with coloured thumb buttons. His expression is set and his stance square, as though watching a stem drop away from the head.
Safety kit is clearly modelled: a yellow hard hat with a wire-screen face visor flipped up and yellow ear defenders clamped over the ears. He wears a red buffalo-check flannel shirt under blue denim bib overalls with a chest pocket and thigh cargo pockets, and scuffed lace-up work boots. He stands on a small irregular patch of forest floor.
Suited to a 1990s or later logging operation on a layout, a forestry diorama beside a landing or log deck, or a rural industry scene. Place him near stacked timber, a loader, or a log truck to give a working site a human focus.
