A complete distribution substation on a poured concrete pad, enclosed by a chain-link perimeter fence with braced corner posts and a barred gate panel.

Inside the yard stand three lattice steel gantry towers carrying strung conductors and lightning masts, a bank of pole-mounted insulators and disconnect switches, two oil-filled transformers with radiator fins and bushings, and a green sheet-metal control cabinet on a raised plinth.

A strong scenic filler for the edge of an industrial estate, a rail yard, a power plant approach or a town outskirt. On a wargame board it doubles as a fenced objective with plenty of hard cover.
