This listing is for a single-piece HO (1:87) master of a vintage upright vacuum cleaner sculpted as a durable interior prop for small-scale dioramas and model-railroad rooms.

Sculpt and silhouette

- Upright profile: the piece captures a classic upright vacuum silhouette — a tall narrow motor housing rising into an integrated slim handle so the overall form reads clearly at tabletop distances.

- Integrated slim handle: the handle is modeled as a continuous extension of the housing rather than a separate thin rod. That approach improves robustness at HO scale while keeping the iconic upright appearance.

- Rounded toe plate and low base: a soft rounded toe plate hugs the floor plane and a low-profile base keeps the piece stable when glued to a board or dropped into a vignette.

- Shallow grille and panel cues: front paneling and a shallow grille are represented in low relief so detail will read after priming and finishing without introducing fragile micro-geometry at small scale.

- Cord-hook suggestion: the rear includes a modest raised hook form rather than a thin detached cable. This implies stored cable while keeping the item single-part and easy to handle.

Included files and scale

- Delivered as one HO (1:87) master STL file. This is the single authoritative master provided with purchase. No additional scale-specific files are supplied.

Printing guidance (notes for printers)

- Master scale: delivered at 1:87 (HO). To print at other scales, uniformly scale the mesh in your slicer by the ratio of the master denominator to your target denominator (for example multiply by 87/48 to reach 1:48). After scaling, check thin features such as the handle junction and grille reliefs; when down-scaling use a finer layer height or consider slightly increasing minimum wall thickness.

- Orientation and supports: standing upright is a stable print orientation for FDM; add light supports at the handle junction and under small base overhangs. For resin printing, a slight backward tilt (10–15°) reduces visible supports on the front face and preserves shallow grille details.

- Resolution and finish: for resin, layer heights between 0.05–0.12 mm preserve the grille and panel cues. For FDM, 0.12–0.20 mm and a small nozzle help balance detail against fragility. Two to three perimeters and modest infill (10–20%) are appropriate for a small interior prop.

Intended uses and fit

- Tuned for HO (1:87) model-railroad interiors, midcentury domestic dioramas, shop front vignettes, and small display cabinets. Proportions are chosen to sit plausibly between an armchair and a side table when used with 1:87 furniture and figures.

- Single-piece construction simplifies placement: glue or pin to a floorboard, or drop into a storefront vignette. The compact form is designed for handling and layout work.

Conversion blurb (printing at other scales)

- This product includes one 1:87 (HO) master STL. To print at a different scale, uniformly scale the mesh by the ratio of the master denominator to your target denominator (for example, to print at 1:48 multiply the model by 87/48 ≈ 1.8125). After scaling, verify handle thickness and grille visibility and adjust print settings as needed. We do not provide multiple scale STLs — the HO master is the single provided file.

Provenance and review note

- Source metadata: asset originates from a legacy Stage1 stub with the auto title "matte blue 3d vintage upright vacuum cleaner" and an initial identity confidence of 0.3. The sculpt visually reads as an upright vacuum cleaner prop; exercise normal verification when integrating this mesh into larger scenes.

Notes and best practices

- The design intentionally limits micro-detail in favor of silhouette and shallow cues. If you prefer stronger surface texture, add painted weathering or decals after priming. The single-piece approach prioritizes durability and ease of placement in small-scale interiors.

- If fixing the piece to a wooden floorboard or MDF base, a dab of cyanoacrylate or a single pin through the base will secure it without obscuring silhouette.
