Stylized Medieval Dock Crane for Diorama This stylized medieval dock crane is a compact, highly readable waterfront prop sized for layouts and dioramas. The sculpt features twin slanted timber A-frames, a diagonal jib, a large human-powered treadwheel winch, a wrapped winch drum with crank handles, and a hanging chain and hook. A round plinth with timber decking details helps seat the piece on pier sections or layout boards. Use and installation Place the plinth into a recessed pocket in your pier decking or fasten it from beneath for permanent installation. For layout durability, increase shell counts and infill on the central posts and hub, and consider printing the hook and chain slightly larger or as a separate, reinforced element if the piece will be handled frequently. The crane works as a focal vertical element in harbor vignettes and pairs well with crates, barrels and small boats to suggest active loading operations. Scale and resizing The product is prepared as a single master file. To print at other scales, use uniform scaling in your slicer or CAD tool. Small downscales will reduce the strength of thin details; large upscales will thicken rope and chain proportions and may require re-proportioning for desired appearance.
