Brick Pump House with Valve Cluster

A squat single-room utility building in red brick with pale mortar courses, capped by a flat grey concrete roof slab with a raised vent hatch and a small pipe stub on top. A tall vertical plank door with an iron strap hinge and a pull handle fills one end wall.

Along the side wall sits an exposed cluster of pipework: brass and steel risers, elbows and gate valves with hand wheels, mounted clear of the wall and running down into a poured concrete apron that surrounds the building.

A useful piece of infrastructure filler for a trackside water service, a works yard, a small-town waterworks or a wartime installation, and it works equally well as a hard-cover objective on a wargame board.
