Overview

This asset is a curated legacy sculpt of an unnamed vintage-style female dancer posed in an energetic mid-step. The figure stands on one supporting foot with the other leg extended forward in a demonstrative gesture; the right arm reaches outward while the left hand is held up near the head. The silhouette reads clearly from midground and background distances, making this sculpt suited to populated scenes without drawing excessive attention from foreground focal points.

Visible features and costume

The sculpt emphasizes a mid-20th-century, performance-inspired look. Visible clothing elements include a short fitted skirt or dancer's shorts, a tucked short-sleeve top with a modest V-neck, and a tied neck scarf that creates a small knot at the collar. The hair is modeled in a short waved retro style consistent with midcentury aesthetics. Character shoes show strap detail and a modest heel; fingers are individually modeled and slightly splayed on the outstretched hand. The anatomy and clothing folds are sculpted for readability at HO scale: knee and calf musculature, a defined waistline, short-sleeve roll, and a scarf knot are all present.

What you receive

- One watertight 1:87 (HO) master STL prepared as the single production master for this listing. The master was inspected and basic mesh corrections applied where obvious print-stopping issues were found. A short README accompanies the master and documents origin notes plus a conversion blurb explaining how to uniformly scale the HO master to other hobby scales (for example 1:72, 1:48, 1:160). Miniature Reality supplies this single HO master; use the README guidance to adapt scale where needed.

Printability notes

The sculpt emphasizes an expressive silhouette and smooth surface transitions rather than ultra-fine prototypical surface texture. Extremely thin elements remain faithful to the sculpt: notably the extended fingers and the scarf ends are delicate and are flagged in the included README. For typical hobby resin workflows, consider conservative exposure and gentle post-cure to preserve finger detail. For filament-based workflows, a smaller nozzle and 0.12–0.20 mm layer height will balance detail and strength. When preparing supports, orient the figure with the support foot on the build plate; add supports beneath the extended leg and under the outstretched arm. Local reinforcement or thicker shell regions may be appropriate if the printed piece will be handled frequently.

Intended uses

This dancer is ideal as a populated figure for HO railroad layouts, period dioramas, theatrical vignettes, and general-purpose display scenes that require a lively human presence. It works well as a midground or background character in a crowd, onstage performer, or part of a promenade scene. The lively pose communicates motion and narrative without implying a specific real-world person.

Limitations and provenance

This asset originates from a legacy MeshRef project and was not traceable to a known maker, named performer, or exact historical costume reference; identity confidence is intentionally low. There are no readable inscriptions, logos, or maker markings on the source sculpt. If you require a historically accurate costume or a named performer reproduction, request a manual provenance audit from the operator team.

Conversion and scaling reminder

The included README contains a short conversion blurb showing how to uniformly scale the HO master in common slicers and 3D packages. Miniature Reality ships only the single 1:87 (HO) master STL; use the README instructions when printing at other hobby scales.

Delivery and license

The package contains the single watertight 1:87 master STL and a README with conversion guidance and print notes. The asset is supplied under Miniature Reality's standard hobby license for non-commercial hobby use. The README highlights thin regions and recommended support orientations to help hobbyists get consistent prints.
