A bearded Eastern Orthodox clergyman in full black dress, head tipped back and mouth open in full voice, one hand raised open-palmed and the other gripping a handheld microphone with the cable looping down to the floor. He wears a flat-topped kamilavka, a long belled-sleeve cassock and a large pectoral cross on a chain.
The long robe is sculpted with deep vertical folds that fall to the shoes, so the figure has a strong solid silhouette and paints up beautifully with a single dark colour plus edge highlights. The long grey beard and swept-back hair are cut in as separate strands. Supplied on a plain round base.
A memorable character piece for a church-hall concert, a festival stage, a choir performance or a street-fair vignette. He also works as a straight ecclesiastical figure for a cathedral or monastery scene if the microphone is left off the build.
