Fireworks Parade Float with Skirting

A single-axle parade float built on a small trailer with a drawbar and jockey pin at the front. The deck is boxed in with a blue and gold rail, swagged with heavy red drapery around the sides and finished with a pleated yellow skirt that hides the wheels and chassis.

The display on the deck is a cluster of oversized prop rockets in red-and-blue spirals with silver conical noses, surrounded by tall sparkler bursts on slim stems and a plain timber crate as a riser. Spoked gold wheels, drape folds and rail mouldings are all cut in cleanly.

Made for parade and festival scenes: an Independence Day route, a county fair procession, a carnival staging area or a town square on a mid-century or modern layout. Line it up behind a tractor or pickup and add waving figures for a full parade vignette.
