A round archery boss made from tightly coiled straw rope, its wound outer edge left exposed and its face painted in the standard five-colour ring pattern of gold, red, blue, black and white.

The butt leans back on a sturdy A-frame trestle of squared timber with pegged cross-braces and a wide top rail, set on a flat concrete pad that can be dropped straight into a scenic base.

Good scenery for a club range, a school sports field, a fairground or village fete, or a practice yard beside a castle wall in a historical or fantasy setting.
