Green Timber Field Mess Hall

A long single-story timber-framed field building with a low-pitched corrugated metal gable roof and a row of raised skylight vents running along the ridge. The walls combine green-painted board framing over exposed red brick infill, with tall multi-pane windows lining the long side.

End doors open onto a raised wooden boardwalk deck with a short entry step, and the weathered, peeling paint gives it a hard-used service look. The layout reads as a wartime dining or barracks hall.

Ideal as a base or camp structure for a mid-1900s or Vietnam-era military diorama or wargame board, and equally at home as a rural depot, works canteen or trackside building on a model railway layout.
