A stand-up paddleboarder mid-stroke on a broad touring board, blade buried in the water and the top hand pushing down on the grip. He wears an orange buoyancy vest, turquoise board shorts and no shoes, with a deck pad and centre fin sculpted into the board.

The board sits on a sculpted spray of turquoise and white water on a round plinth, with foam curling up along the near rail so the whole piece reads as movement rather than a static display.
