Antique Wooden High Chair

Solidly built Victorian-style child's high chair made from varnished hardwood (dark warm brown). Features a curved, hinged tray rim with exposed round-head rivets/brass fasteners along the outer rim; the tray attaches to the arm supports with a metal sliding bracket. Backrest is upright with vertical carved slats and a decorative carved crest. Seat is wooden plank style with contoured edges. Four elegantly curved wooden legs are joined by ornate cast metal brace members and end in small cast-iron or steel spool-type wheels. Surface shows aged varnish with minor scuffs, darker patina at contact points, and a few small surface scratches.
