A travelling minstrel woman standing mid-song, fingers stopped on the neck of a pear-bodied lute while her other hand strums across the strings. She wears a soft slouch cap, a puff-sleeved linen blouse, a laced bodice with shoulder straps, a tiered skirt in two contrasting layers, striped hose and low turned-cuff boots.
The instrument is sculpted with a rounded bowl back, a bent pegbox and individual strings, and the layered skirt falls in loose folds that suggest she has just turned toward her audience. She stands on a small textured ground pad.
Perfect for a market-square or tavern-yard diorama in a medieval or Renaissance setting, and an easy non-combatant for a fantasy tabletop town board. Place her beside a well, a fountain or an inn door with a scatter of listeners and a coin bowl.
