A late-Renaissance court lady turning to greet someone, one hand extended palm-up in a formal gesture of welcome and the other gathering a fold of her skirt. A stiff pleated ruff stands high around her throat, and her hair is dressed up over a jewelled roll with a small pearl at the crown.
The bodice is boned to a sharp point at the waist, richly embroidered with scrolling patterns, and its sleeves are slashed and padded down to lace cuffs at the wrist. Below it a full skirt falls in heavy folds, edged with a deep decorated border and revealing low-heeled shoes at the hem.
A refined figure for a Tudor or Elizabethan court diorama, a great-hall reception or a manor garden scene. On a fantasy tabletop board she makes an excellent noble, patron or plot-hook character among your town population.
