Open-Sided Free Stall Cattle Shelter

A long open-sided livestock shelter on a poured concrete pad, framed in heavy timber posts with trussed rafters and purlins under a shallow corrugated metal roof. Both long sides are fully open, so the interior structure and stalls read from every angle.

Inside, rows of tubular steel free-stall dividers sit on low concrete kerbs with bedded plank floors between them, and blue-handled water valves and small feed and mineral boxes are mounted along the posts. Weathered timber, rusted fixings and stained concrete give the whole building a working farm look.

Built for modern dairy and beef farm scenes: a barnyard beside a milking parlour, a feedlot, a stock pen at a rail loading dock, or a rural road frontage. The open frame is also handy as partial cover terrain on a farm-country skirmish board.
