Seed and Fertilizer Shed

A long farm storage shed clad in red board-and-batten timber, raised on a post-and-beam deck with diagonal bracing so wagons and trucks can back up level to the floor.

The corrugated metal gable roof steps up into a clerestory monitor with a run of blue-tinted windows for daylight and ventilation. Wide sliding double doors on an exposed iron track fill the gable end, with hooks, latches and hardware picked out, and a heavy plank loading ramp runs down from the deck to ground level.

A hard-working structure for a farmstead, a grain co-operative, a rural rail siding or a country elevator complex, and it doubles as a barn, implement store or feed shed on almost any agricultural scene.
