A Victorian-era fireman striding out of a fire with an unconscious victim slung across his shoulders in a carry hold. He wears a high leather helmet with a front shield, a long belted turnout coat with big patch pockets and a hook-and-strap front, denim trousers and tall pull-on rubber boots.

The victim is modelled as a limp adult in scorched work clothes and boots, arms and legs hanging, with the fireman's arm locked over the near leg. The figure is caught mid-step with the weight carried high, which gives the pair a strong sense of urgency and a good silhouette from every side.

Made for a 1880s city fire scene: a burning tenement front, a steam engine and hose crew, or a crowd-and-constable street vignette. On a period layout it drops beside a firehouse or a downtown block, and it makes an obvious focal point in any late-nineteenth-century diorama.
