A fireman sits at the controls with both gloved hands gripping a large thin-rimmed steering wheel, shoulders hunched forward and jaw set as he pushes through traffic. The seated pose with feet planted apart is built to drop straight into a cab, not to stand on a base.

He wears a tan canvas turnout coat with a storm flap and buckled collar, matching heavy trousers and knee-high black rubber boots. A red leather fire helmet with a brass front shield and a long rear brim sits low on his head, and the steering wheel is supplied as part of the figure so it lines up with his hands.

He belongs behind the screen of a 1940s-1960s pumper, ladder truck or rescue rig on an American town layout. Adding a driver turns a parked appliance into one that is clearly rolling to a call, and he pairs naturally with a crew hanging off the rear step.
