This sculpt is a five-headed hydra in a swamp motif, crafted to prioritize readable silhouette and head-level detail at hobby scales. The composition places five serpentine necks and distinct head sculpts around a central raised chest and chest-plating scale pattern. Each head carries its own crest and horn structures: two heads show angular horn clusters, two have elongated muzzle plates, and the center head presents the most pronounced vertical crest and layered throat armor. The body terminates in broad, muscular forelimbs with hooked claws splayed on a shallow round base textured as mud, roots, and pooled water; the base includes a small stump and root accents that lock the creature visually into a swamp diorama.

Sculpt details and print flow

- Neck anatomy is sculpted with pronounced scale ridges and segmented throat plates that read well at small scales. The central chest plates are defined with overlapping armourlike scales that will print as separate readable layers when printed at recommended hobby scales. Heads are individually posed to provide distinct profiles from multiple viewing angles, allowing painters and hobbyists to pick out focal points for color and wash work. The sculpt preserves a clear silhouette so trimmed supports or careful orientation are sufficient for printing; thin spikes and horn tips are present but deliberately sized to be printable on standard hobby SLA and resin workflows with standard hollowing and drainage techniques.

Contents and scaling

This listing is prepared around a single 1:87 (HO) master STL file (the release includes one master file at 1:87). The master is intended as the authoritative scale for print-first hobbyists; the description also includes straightforward guidance for scaling the single master to larger hobby scales when needed. Only one 1:87 master file is provided — do not expect multiple native-scale files in the bundle.

Intended uses

This hydra sculpt fits tabletop roleplaying encounters, fantasy dioramas, and collector display sets. The multiple heads create a dramatic center-piece for swamp or bog terrain and work well as a medium-to-large creature token for encounter-mapped play. Painters will appreciate the separate head profiles and the layered chest plating that pick up washes and drybrushing well.

Print notes

Orient the model to minimize fine-tip supports on the head crests; the sculpt’s tall central crest benefits from a slightly angled print orientation to keep horn tips supported. Hollow large cavities where applicable and check for drainage paths near the base. The sculpt’s claws and thin horns are intentionally tapered for detail retention — use conservative support density and standard layer heights for best results.

What you receive

- One 1:87 (HO) master STL file sized for hobby printing and a short conversion guide to scale the master for other hobby scales. No additional scale-native files are included.

Sculpt provenance and limitations

This is a fantasy creature sculpt intended as a hobby miniature. No real-world provenance applies; dimensions and scale choices reflect hobby conventions. The design preserves printable detail at 1:87 while allowing upscaling for larger tabletop and display applications.
