Patriotic Eagle Parade Float Trailer

A twin-axle flatbed trailer dressed up as a small-town parade float. The steel deck and drop sides are painted navy blue and hung with red, white and blue fan bunting all the way around, with pleated red skirting draped between the swags and a hitch and jack still fitted at the tongue.

A carved bald eagle with wings spread stands on a timber stump at the front of the deck, and behind it four star-studded gilt columns hold up a fringed red canopy over an empty platform waiting for a speaker, a queen or a band. Twin road wheels, mudguard-free fenders and a simple ladder frame keep it believable as a working farm trailer under the decoration.

Ideal for a Fourth of July, veterans' day or county-fair parade scene running down a main street, or parked in a fairground lot being loaded. On a layout it gives a small town an event to be having, and it tows convincingly behind a pickup or a farm tractor.
