This package contains a neutralized mid-size, four-door sedan modeled to read as a late-1990s to 2000s Ford Taurus–style silhouette and supplied as a single 1:87 (HO) master STL. The mesh preserves the family-sedan proportions: a gently sloped roofline flowing into a compact trunk, relatively upright C-pillars, modest greenhouse and door spacing, and softly rounded overhangs that sit naturally in contemporary suburban, commercial, and street scenes.

Visible features and modeling choices

- Silhouette and era cues: the body proportions, roof curve and trunk geometry are tuned to read as a late-1990s/2000s mid-size sedan at HO scale; these cues give layout traffic and parking areas a contemporary look without overwhelming small scenes.

- Panel treatment: door seams, hood and trunk separations are modeled as shallow, simplified recesses sized to remain visible when printed at 1:87 while avoiding very thin engraved lines that often fail in small-scale prints.

- Appendages: side mirrors and a short roof antenna are modeled as stout, thickened stubs to survive handling and postprocess. These conservative appendages are chosen to suit both filament and resin printing at small scales.

- Wheels and underside: wheel wells are open and dimensioned to accept common aftermarket HO wheels; wheels are not included. The underside has been closed and simplified so the body prints as a stable shell with minimal internal cavities.

- Badges and logos: manufacturer badges and explicit emblems have been neutralized to avoid licensing issues while preserving the overall silhouette and era cues that make the subject visually identifiable in a layout.

What you receive

- One watertight master STL locked to 1:87 (HO). This single master file is the supplied deliverable; no additional pre-scaled files, texture maps, or editable CAD sources are included.

- A short conversion guide explaining how to uniformly scale the HO master for other common modeling ratios (examples given for 1:160 N, 1:120 TT, 1:72, 1:48 and 1:24) and reminders to verify axle, wheel and mirror clearances when rescaling.

Printability and workflow notes

- Master scale: the mesh is locked to 1:87 (HO). When uniformly scaling for other ratios, verify wheel clearance and consider slight thickening of mirror and antenna stubs if scaling down to very small ratios.

- Orientation and supports: for filament printing orient the body roof-up and use supports under the chassis or overhangs as required by your slicer. For resin printing, use minimal supports on mirror stubs and antenna to reduce postprocess damage. If you plan to glue separate windows or aftermarket wheels, remove supports carefully around sill and wheel well edges.

- Finishing: the neutralized body accepts primer and common finishing techniques. Use a fine wash to emphasize simplified panel lines and light drybrushing to pick out raised details. Masking-friendly panel gaps support two-tone schemes.

Customization and kitbashing

- Common workflows: fit aftermarket clear windows, printed or purchased wheels, or separate interior or chassis parts. The neutralized mesh is well suited for grafting or combining with other contemporary vehicle bodies in kitbash projects.

- Strengthening: when printing at very small layer heights, consider increasing mirror stub thickness or filling very thin recesses in-slicer if you expect heavy handling of finished pieces.

Intended uses

- HO railroaders who need contemporary road traffic for suburban streets, gas stations and shopping-center parking areas.

- Diorama builders creating late 1990s–2000s scenes who want a neutral, paint-ready sedan silhouette without brand badges.

- Painters and display hobbyists seeking a compact subject for finishing practice.

Provenance and notes

- Origin: this item was produced from a legacy MeshRef project and the source metadata records a low identity confidence for specific provenance. Badges are neutralized. Customers should perform a quick mesh check in their slicer of choice prior to committing to long prints.

Conversion reminder

- The package includes a short conversion guide for scaling the 1:87 master to other common ratios. Miniature Reality supplies only the single HO master; if you need a native 1:72 or 1:48 master contact us for custom work.
