This is a stylized gravel and small-rock pile sculpted as terrain scatter for hobby dioramas, basing, and tabletop layouts. The sculpt emphasizes mixed pebble sizes — from tiny smooth granules to flattened cobble shapes — arranged into a compact mound sitting on a shallow circular base. Surfaces include a variety of rounded stones, a few larger angular rocks and small pebbles clustered into naturalistic pockets; the silhouette reads clearly from tabletop distances while micro-forms provide texture at zoomed-in viewing.

Intended uses

- Dioramas: place the pile where you need a small aggregate heap, construction-site debris, roadside fill, or natural ground scatter. The circular shallow base makes it easy to slot the piece into small scenes or to glue into recessed bases.

- Model railroading: scaled for HO viewers (see packaging), this piece is sized as a small local gravel heap suitable for yards, sidings, or trackside clutter.

- Tabletop gaming and wargaming: provides quick groundcover that reads well on the table and helps break uniform flat bases.

What's included

- One 1:87 (HO) master STL file configured as the primary deliverable and intended as the printing master. Miniature Reality provides a single HO master and a short conversion blurb to guide resizing for other scales; customers print the HO master and scale it in their slicer or CAD tool if they want a different ratio. The mesh has been sculpted to hold detail at hobby scales while remaining printable after usual orientation and support decisions.

Print notes for makers (general)

Orient the piece with the flat base down for best first-layer adhesion. The sculpt contains many small rounded pebbles; very small features may benefit from a higher resolution printer or a slower print speed. If you plan to scale up substantially, check bridging and overhangs in a preview; split or add simple support under overhangs as needed. The shallow base helps during placement and gluing to scene surfaces.

Design details

This sculpt is intentionally stylized: pebble shapes are slightly exaggerated to hold detail at small scales. The base rim is low and unobtrusive so the mound can be blended into larger groundwork or placed as a standalone prop. The pile contains both clustered pebble regions and larger slabs to add variation in shadow and silhouette.

Licensing & usage

This asset is intended for hobby, personal diorama, and small commercial hobby use per Miniature Reality terms. Check marketplace licensing details on purchase.

Notes and limitations

Source metadata indicates this item came from a legacy MeshRef stub; no authoritative real-world dimensions were supplied with the original data. The master is supplied at HO (1:87) as described above. If you need precise physical sizing for a specific scene, rescale using your layout's reference measurements and preview in your slicer before printing.
