Black Widow Spider on a Silk Strand

A black widow dangling from a single strand of silk, legs half folded and the front pair reaching up to grip the line. The bulbous glossy abdomen carries the classic red hourglass marking, and the cephalothorax is sculpted with a cluster of tiny eyes and mouthparts.

All eight legs are separately articulated in the sculpt, tapering to fine points, and the silk strand is modelled as a slender twisted thread running up from the spider's spinnerets. A small round disc anchors the whole piece.

Perfect as a Halloween or haunted-house decoration hanging in a porch, cellar or attic scene, an unsettling detail in an abandoned-building diorama, or an oversized menace on a fantasy tabletop. It also works as a natural-history display piece in a museum or classroom vignette.
