This asset is a low-polygon, print-first representation of a heavy-duty Class A motorhome designed to read strongly on small-scale layouts and dioramas. The geometry prioritizes a bold coach silhouette with broad planar side panels, a flattened roofline, an integrated forward cab and squared wheel arches that frame simplified wheel wells. Windows and the side entry door are expressed as shallow recesses or raised planar panels rather than open cutaways to preserve solidity at HO 1:87 scale. Roof vents and service hatches are blocked up as small, print-friendly extrusions; delicate aerials and thin hardware are intentionally omitted or thickened and integrated into body panels to survive printing and handling.

What you receive

- One master STL file delivered at Miniature Reality's standard HO 1:87 scale. This single HO master is canonical; rescale the HO file uniformly in your slicer for other scales. No additional pre-scaled STLs are included.

Visible features and design intent

- Silhouette-first geometry: large planar faces and clear hard edges ensure the vehicle reads as an RV from typical viewing distances on layouts and display plates. The faceted, low-poly aesthetic keeps silhouette legibility while minimizing fragile geometry.

- Window and door treatment: side glazing and the entry door are modeled as recessed or raised panels with distinct planar treatment. The entry door shows a single inset plane with a shallow step line to suggest the opening without adding separate movable parts.

- Undercarriage simplification: the chassis is a contiguous base volume with indicated wheel wells; no separate suspension details are modeled. Wheel arches are squared and robust to reduce print failures and ease post-processing.

- Roof features minimized: roof vents, air conditioners and service hatches are represented as small, blocky extrusions to remain visible yet durable at HO scale.

- Print-friendly detail strategy: small items such as mirrors, grab handles and antennae are either thickened or merged into adjacent panels to survive printing and normal handling on a layout. The model intentionally avoids thin freestanding appendages.

Printing and scaling guidance

- Master scale: HO 1:87. When printed at HO scale the finished printed piece typically measures in the ~90 to 100 mm length range depending on slicer bounding box and any trimming. Use this single HO master as your source and uniformly scale in your slicer to achieve other scales (for example: HO 1:87 to N 1:160 ≈ 55% of HO; HO 1:87 to O 1:48 ≈ 181% of HO). Always confirm final bounding box and orientation after scaling.

- Orientation: printing with the chassis flat to the bed gives the cleanest underside and simplest supports. Angling the model ~30–45° can reduce visible layer banding on the roof if your printer reliably handles angled supports.

- Supports: light supports under deep window recesses and the entry door inset are recommended. Because mirrors and other appendages are integrated, large unsupported cantilevers are minimized, but roof blocks and any thin protrusions may still benefit from local supports.

- Layer height: 0.12–0.20 mm is a practical balance for HO printing. Use finer layers if you plan to display the piece up close or perform fine paintwork.

- Post-processing: the faceted planes accept washes, drybrushing and blocking-in well. Window recesses are sized to accept thin aftermarket glazing stock if you prefer to add clear inserts. The flat side panels make this piece an excellent candidate for quick liveries, decals or painted signage.

Limitations and provenance

This asset is a legacy MeshRef-derived stub with intentionally low-polygon, monochrome geometry. It is not a precise replica of any single manufacturer's vehicle; there are no brand badges, logos, or readable text. Treat this as a generic Class A style RV rather than a faithful brand-specific copy.

Included: one HO 1:87 master STL file. The file is supplied for personal and hobby use under the marketplace license shown at checkout. If you need help scaling or printer settings for a particular printer, contact Miniature Reality support with your printer model and target scale.

Notes and recommended checks

Because the Stage1 input is a legacy automation stub, measurement and identity confidences are low. Confirm final scaled bounding box and orientation in your slicer before committing to production prints. The simplified, faceted surfaces are intentional to maximize print reliability at small scales.
