A grand fireplace surround finished in deep navy with richly gilded ornament. A carved shell cartouche crowns the center, flanked by gold floral swags, rosettes and trailing leaf pendants down the pilasters, all beneath a heavy dentil-molded mantel shelf.

The arched firebox is lined with red brick and a tiled hearth, giving a warm contrast to the dark painted stonework of this elaborate parlor centerpiece.
